Cassidy had just transferred to First Baptist Dallas from Prestonwood Baptist Church. It was her first Sunday singing with the church choir. She discovered that there was a bible study class for the choir and orchestra members and decided to attend.At the same time, this was the first instance that Calvin was late to orchestra.As Cassidy exited the choir loft, she saw Calvin sitting by himself, waiting for the class to begin. It just so happened that Cassidy was looking to make a new friend. Seeing that Calvin was sitting alone, she approached him and started to talk to him. He instantly recognized that she was a trained singer by her articulation and clarity in her voice. After their initial encounter, they did not see each other again until a few months later, when their friend groups collided at another Choir and Orchestra event. As God had planned, Calvin joined the same Sunday school class that Cassidy had joined 3 months prior. This love story began with God, music, and friendship.

Where it all began...

On a chilly February evening at Shake Shack, after sharing dating preferences with their friends, they planned a concert around one piece written for Soprano and Horn: Alphorn by Richard Strauss. During their countless hours of rehearsal, Calvin and Cassidy began to realize that their relationship had grown into something deeper than friendship. Calvin discovered Cassidy's graciousness through her advice and encouragement, and also her innate ability to completely disarm him with her gaze. Cassidy noticed Calvin's ability to listen closely, his incredible perceptiveness, and his directness.
